I honestly thought Grönefeld would find it very difficult to improve on the 1941 Remontoire. This is a serious award-winning watch, after all. But I’ve just been proven wrong. The Dutch brothers have bested themselves with the introduction of a stainless steel model with an absolutely killer guilloché dial, made by Kari Voutilainen and sealed under a fine coat of enamel by Inès Hamaguchi. It’s a team effort, but it all comes together very coherently and to great effect.
