This, folks, is horological madness. A few weeks ago I showed you four Patek Philippe 5970s, one in each metal, all together, but now I think I can up the ante. We have learned from a source at Phillips that the Geneva Watch Auction: Four sale taking place in November will include three, yes three, Patek Philippe 1518s, one each in yellow gold, rose gold, and stainless steel. This is the first time every case metal of the 1518 has been available in a single auction. We broke news of the steel 1518 hitting the block back in July, but we didn’t know it would be accompanied in the catalog by two of its 280 sisters.
