Earlier today, Artnet News reported that Dallas-based auction house Heritage has filed suit against Christie’s and its subsidiary Collectrium. Collectrium is a paid subscription-only database service for collection building and collection management with over 11 million listings spanning categories like art, design, watches, jewelry, and other collectibles. The only problem is, Heritage is claiming that as many as three million of these listings were scraped from its extensive catalogs without permission.
