Only Watch 2019 – Czapek Faubourg de Cracovie Chronograph

For its second participation to the biennial fundraiser for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Czapek is presenting a handsome version of its Faubourg de Cracovie chronograph fit with an onyx and chalcedony dial. The blue colour of the chalcedony counters is a reference to the colour of this 8^thedition of Only Watch. The chronograph second hand is in the same colour. Just like for the 2017 edition for Only Watch, the dial features the caption ‘courage every seconds’ (transferred in between 12 o’clock and 2 o’clock).

Only Watch 2019 – Only Watch – Frederique Constant Meteorite Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture

A unique piece for Only Watch 2019, Frederique Constant presents a version of its Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar featuring a dial fashioned out of a meteorite found in Namibia. Standing out with its unique texture, the blue openwork dial echoes the colour of 8th edition of the biennial charity auction.

Only Watch 2019 – Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One Red

Jaquet-Droz is supporting Only Watch, the biennial fundraiser for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, for the 8th consecutive time. The Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One is presented for the 2019 edition, and this is a unique version reinterpreted with striking red accents, in reference to love and Monaco. Only Watch is organized by Luc Pettavino and the Monégasque Association Against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Auction – Christie’s To Auction 24 Unique Moritz Grossmann Online, for the Brand’s 10th Anniversary

While the name Moritz Grossmann refers to a great watchmaker and the founder and director of the German School of Watchmaking in Glashütte, back in the 19th century, the brand as we know it today is still rather new on the German watchmaking scene. However, this year is an important step for the brand, which has been founded back in 2008. Auction – Phillips Sells the Unique Steel Lange 1815 ‘Homage To Walter Lange’ for CHF 852,500 – A New Record for a Lange Wristwatch at Auction

While the Daytona Ultimatum auction and the rest of the GWA7 – Geneva Watch Auction 7 by Phillips Watches – brought several impressive results (including a CHF 5M hammer price for the Unicorn white gold Daytona), another properly interesting result should be credited to A. Lange & Söhne, with the unique 1815 ‘Homage To Walter Lange’ in steel with black enamel dial hammered for CHF 852,500 (inc. buyer’s premium). And yes, it’s a new record for a Lange at auction, and yes proceeds will be given to a charity.
