SPOTTED – What’s On The Wrist Of Emmanuel Macron, The New French President? (Updated with new details)

Except if you spent the last few weeks alone in some North-Pole cave, with no access to the World, you might have seen that France has a new President, in the name of Emmanuel Macron. No politics here, but as a watch magazine, the question of what type of watch Mister Macron could wear immediately came at the redaction. Novelist Jackie Collins Was A Surprising Lover Of Fine Watches As Bonhams Auction Reveals

In the 1980s you may have read perhaps a few entertaining books by Jackie Collins, who passed away on September 19, 2015 at the age of 77. She was a very wealthy woman after 47 years of publishing bestselling romance novels, and now Bonhams is set to auction her estate of 1,000 lots for an estimated total of $3 million on May 16 and 17, 2017 in Los Angeles, and there are a few interesting watches included. In general, the response was very positive.  The ‘Drive de Cartier’ was picked […]

Brice Goulard’s Top 10 of the SIHH 2017

First one to pull the trigger was Xavier, with his Top 10 watches of the SIHH 2017. It was not fair to leave that task to him only, so I had to do the job too. Still, picking up my 10 favorite pieces of the Geneva-based fair was not easy. Not that there was not enough material this year – we’ve seen many interesting propositions, both dream-watches or more commercial offers – but it’s always difficult to set barriers. Whatever, here they are, my 10 favorite watches of the SIHH 2017 (plus a few special mentions, some watches or policies dear to my heat…)
