Moon Landing 50 – The Other Watch of Apollo 11, The “Mission Control” Heuer Stopwatch

We know all about the Omega Speedmaster ‘Moonwatch’, as the first wristwatch on the Moon, which cemented its place in the history when the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed on the Lunar surface on the wrist of Buzz Aldrin. But there’s a little-known Heuer stopwatch that played a small but very important role when Neil Armstrong was piloting the lunar module “Eagle” to land on the moon.

Hands-on – Bell & Ross Vintage V2 Military Beige Collection

The link between Bell & Ross and the military world is essential to the brand. Most people over the weekend were watching Wimbledon for the Men’s and Women’s championship matches in addition to the 2019 Cricket World Cup. The 2019 Formula One British Grand Prix at Silverstone was slightly overshadowed by these two events. But for those who watched it, Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond and is currently filming parts of the upcoming “Bond 25” film, was in attendance for the race won by English driver Lewis Hamilton. And he had something special on the wrist.

We were quite taken with the distinctive look and performance of this watch. Based on its popularity, it seems we were not the only ones. Now, just as with the M100B, Vertex is introducing a limited edition black DLC-coated version of the Monopusher Chronograph, the MP45B, for those who prefer something a little more stealthy on the wrist. Although, if you’re expecting this watch to fly under the radar, you may be disappointed!
