Inspired by vintage aircraft, Ferro & Co. designed 2 distinctive styles of pilot watches that reflect the aesthetics of the 1940s aviation world. On February 15th, 2017, Ferro Watches launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund their first production batch of Swiss-made limited edition timepieces.
My name is Evangelos Sarikas and, in my opinion, the pilot watch has been the most successful type of timepiece design for more than a century, which is why I wanted this look for my new Theta watch brand from Greece that will have a Swiss movement.
For me, watches from the ’60s/’70s, and especially chronographs, are the most aesthetically pleasing to look at in terms of design. It’s no wonder iconic watches in the form of reissues are making a comeback, as well as those from independents and microbrands alike.
The Gravity Alpha GT-124 Watch is designed with the cosmos as an inspiration, using two moving disc plates placed over each other and balanced to create a moving kaleidoscopic effect. Let’s take a closer look.

The result was the art deco “Crash of ’29” watch. Now Mark and Richard are back again with the same great art deco case and hands but with a Swiss movement and a new art deco dial. The result is “The Skyscraper” watch by Rpaige.
