Introducing – Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 GMT Poseidon Edition

Aquadive is, together with sister brand Doxa, one of those brands that may not necessarily be familiar to a large audience but which is, however, highly respected by hardcore enthusiasts. Technical, instrument-like watches inspired by the 1970s, the Bathyscaphe 100 GMT brought retro styling with modern engineering for divers. Today, the brand is presenting a […]

Buying Guide – 5 of the Most Original Dive Watches Recently Introduced

We all love a good old dive watch… There’s something rather inexplicable about dive watches, as it is clear that most of us never use them as they really were designed to perform (except the occasional jump in the pool). Still, they are attractive. However, there’s one issue with this category of timepieces. Most of them look […]

Review – Reservoir Hydrosphere “Air Gauge” – A Very Unique Dive Watch

I know many people complain about dive watches. Not because of what they are intrinsically, but because many of them look the same (the Submariner-like market is huge…) Yet, there’s a very good reason for this: a norm, the ISO 6425 standard, regulates the concept of a dive watch. However, some watchmakers have decided to […]

Introducing – Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition “Blue Double Gradient”

Back at the SIHH 2018, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a brand new collection with both vintage and sporty inspiration – something that was clearly missing in the range. Based on the famed “Polaris Memovox” from 1968, the brand developed an entire line-up comprising a chrono, a WT-chrono, a time-only, a Worldtime and of course, an alarm “Memovox” version. Last but not least (and a personal favourite), was the vintage-inspired time-and-date diver, which is the base for today’s novelty, with new “Blue Double Gradient” dial. Meet the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition.

Introducing – Doxa Sub 200 T.GRAPH Stainless Steel Limited Edition

In 2019, Doxa celebrates their 130th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of one of their iconic watches, the Sub 200 T.GRAPH. At Baselworld, we had listed the reedition of the model as one of our favorite dive watches of the fair… with one regret. This limited edition was released in a series of 13 watches only in gold. Well, to our satisfaction, Doxa now releases a stainless steel limited edition of the model.

Introducing – The 2019 Seiko 5 – New and Revamped

Normally when a watch company starts to talk about products for ‘a next generation’, the implicit message is: ‘run away now.’ But not this time. The Seiko 5 sports watch has existed for over 50 years, but like a G-Shock it has maintained its coolness. That achievement probably has to do with a conscious lack […]
