Agenhor, and the many movements of the Genevan complication masters (Part 2)

Movement masters Agenhor have had their fingers in so many pies that one article can’t cover all of their unique takes on complications. Agenhor, and the many movements of the Genevan complication masters (Part 1)

There are not many movement manufacturers nor watch brands that can lay claim to a staggering 9 GPHG awards, though Agenhor is one of them. Sure, the GPHG awards are like the Oscars in some ways – somewhat exclusive and at times certainly controversial – but they, for the most part, represent the crème de … Continued

In a predominantly male-dominated watch world, we have some women in top positions who are making a definitive mark. Eve’s Watch aims to put the spotlight on those women, and on a choice of women’s watches that have been awarded best in one of twelve categories. Additionally, there’s a thirteenth award, chosen by the public. Last week, Aurélie Picaud, Timepiece Director at Fabergé, was awarded Woman of the Year at the 2017 Eve’s Watch Awards.

Only Watch 2017 – Unique Black-and-Yellow Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph (with revolutionary movement)

At Baselworld 2017, a brand that is definitely more known for its jewelry pieces and historical eggs made for Russian Empire, Fabergé, came with what certainly was the most impressive piece of the show: the Visionnaire Chronograph and its movement created by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and his team at Agenhor. Revolutionary might sound cliché however, it’s exactly what this watch is, in terms of technical solutions and display. For Only Watch 2017, Fabergé has created a unique black-and-yellow version of this watch, which also happens to be the very first “for delivery” piece to come out of the manufacture.

Xavier Markl’s Top 10 of Baselworld 2017

The 100th anniversary edition of Baselworld has just came to an end. It has been another packed event, despite a strange overall impression and the current situation that prompted brands to be more cautious. As for each fair, the offerings are diverse but we have to come with our highlights. A tough choice but as we had to pick ten, here are the Baselworld 2017 watches that have caught my eyes – presented without specific order… But as always with Monochrome watches, it is guaranteed 100% quartz- and android-free!

Introducing – Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph, with Revolutionary Movement by Agenhor (And the Best Video To Explain It)

When you think Fabergé, you hardly think about watches. And even more, you hardly imagine a hyper-innovative chronograph movement, which in some ways revolutionizes centuries of stop watches… However that is exactly what Fabergé introduces today: a movement with a brand new display, a brand new architecture and a brand new clutch, solving many of the traditional chronograph issues. Fabergé’s new timepieces is a chronograph that displays the elapsed hours, minutes and seconds centrally, with the passage of ‘normal’ hours and minutes around it. Please welcome the Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph, with revolutionary movement by Agenhor (and we found the best possible video to explain it – thanks TheWatchesTV.)

Just in: Announcement: Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph

Fabergé is perhaps well known for their eggs as for anything else. The Fabergé Easter Eggs (Russian: Яйца Фаберже́; yaytsa faberzhe) were created by Peter Carl Fabergé and his company between 1885 and 1917. These jewelled eggs gained fame as gifts from the Russian Tsars Alexander III and Nicholas II as Easter gifts for their…

Give Me Five! 5 Of The Most Colorful Watches Of 2016 From Richard Mille, HYT, Fabergé, GoS, and Kari Voutilainen

The year 2016 was at times grey and sullen, while at other times it rained purple, red, or blue and a host of other vibrant (and symbolic) colors. There was also a crop of colorful watches to stand out from the masses of new steel and titanium-encased horology, titillating the senses with bursts of fresh color. Here are five-ish colorful watches that caught my eye last year from HYT, Richard Mille, Fabergé, GoS, and Kari Voutilainen.
