Hautlence goes back to its roots. The brand was already famous for its unusual displays of the time – think about the jumping hours of the HL Ti 2 or the chain of the Vortex. At Baselworld 2019, the brand comes with a world-first, a wristwatch displaying the time thanks to a playful and spectacular spherical jumping hour/retrograde minute display. Meet the Hautlence HL Sphere 01.
Hautlence tones down the colour and price of the HL Vagabonde 01, a watch inspired by satellite systems housed in the brand’s signature TV-screen case. Three fixed hour discs orbit around a revolving sapphire central minutes disc thanks to an automatic movement – calibre HTL 205-1 – based on sister company H.Moser & Cie’s HMC200. Housed in a titanium case, the Vagabonde 01 obeys Hautlence’s mission to present time in a novel, less conventional manner.
Hautlence’s creations are bold… Very bold! They play on the shapes, on the display, on the mechanics, on the style and they can even create objects to be worn on the wrist that are not meant to be timepieces, simply because they don’t indicate the time (think Labyrinth or Pinball pieces). That’s just a different state of mind! And while we knew they could go quite mad with colours, they are now pushing boundaries even further, with the new Hautlence Vortex Gamma, featuring a vibrant case material that can take on any colour or shade and that can be bespoken to the delight of its clients.
