Today we are taking a look at Antonin Falk and the watch he crafted in the frame of his watchmaking studies. A 19-year-old French man coming from Savoy, Antonin Falk is studying watchmaking in Morteau, a town next to the Swiss border and Le Locle / La Chaux-de-Fonds. He was named ‘Best Apprentice in France’ (MAF Or National Horlogerie 2016) hand-crafting a Breguet hand and pipe.

Meistersinger made a name for itself by offering products with a distinctive feature: single-hand watches. With its simple designed, frill-free watches the German manufacturer provides its own cool, offbeat, take on watchmaking. In 2019, Doxa celebrates their 130th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of one of their iconic watches, the Sub 200 T.GRAPH. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Aquanaut in 2017, Patek Philippe presented the Jumbo Ref. 5168G in white gold with a larger diameter of 42.2mm, the most Jumbo size of this family to date and the first one to be housed in a white gold case. The fashionable blue dial of the 2017 model now has a sibling with a cool khaki green dial and matching “tropical” rubber strap. In essence, the exact same watch as the 2017 model with a green strap and dial, the khaki green dial adds a safari/adventure/military mood to the watch underlining its mission as Patek’s everyday sports watch.
The TAG Heuer Carrera might be one of the best-known watches of the industry, it is hard to say that modern editions are on the elegant side. They are sporty, bold or can even be cool, but they don’t fly under the radar – this one, with the previous design, is a good example.
