Ulysse Nardin Diver Deep Dive (SIHH 2018)

Bold, bold and… Bold! Yes, this new Ulysse Nardin Diver Deep Dive is far from discreet and is a proper tool made to resist to high pressure. What you see is the new hero piece of the Ulysse Nardin Diver Collection. Indeed, for the SIHH 2018, Ulysse Nardin is not only playing on the innovation or fine craftsmanship sides but they also look at some inspirations that made the brand popular a few years ago. Overview of a strong, powerful dive watch.

The Vintage-Inspired Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Date (Live From SIHH 2018)

Right from the start of the SIHH 2018, we made sure that the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris 2018 Collection was already covered here, on MONOCHROME. Indeed, it represents one of the main novelties of the Show and, mainly, an extremely important collection for JLC, as their only true sports range of watches. And while the Memovox will certainly be the most desirable of them all, we chose to show you another (very close) model, that we consider here the cornerstone of the collection, as non-limited, relatively affordable but still vintage-inspired. You name it, the Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Date.

The New Armin Strom Pure Resonance (SIHH 2018)

Well, in the case of the new Pure Resonance, it isn’t only about cleaning the design. You’ll see that sometimes in watchmaking, removing parts and features can benefit the accuracy – and Armin Strom’s Resonance concept is all about accuracy.

The New Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa Collection for SIHH 2018

Originally introduced back in 2001, the Kalpa collection by Parmigiani Fleurier is amongst the most recognizable models of the brand. With its distinctive tonneau-shaped case and teardrop lugs, it has a unique style that, if not liked by all, definitely makes a statement. Ahead of the upcoming SIHH 2018, the brand has introduced the new, redesigned Kalpa collection, which is now fitted exclusively with shaped movements, developed in-house. Here are the first three watches to be presented: the Kalpa Chronor, the Kalpagraphe Chronometre and the Kalpa Hebdomadaire.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon with New Sunburst Tapisserie Dial (SIHH 2018)

Audemars Piguet will bring a fresh burst of colour to SIHH 2018, with the unveiling of three new Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon models. We’re profiling two of them here for you today, one in classic steel and the other in 18ct pink gold. All changes are purely aesthetic and as far as we’re aware, neither will be limited editions, although we imagine production quantities will be relatively low to maintain the exclusivity of these pieces.

Montblanc 1858 Geosphere – An Original and Sporty WorldTime Watch (SIHH 2018)

It isn’t the first time that Montblanc surprises us with an original (and of course rather accessible) complicated watch. Indeed, we can easily recall the Orbis Terrarum, which at EUR 5,500 was definitely impressive value for the money (we even compared it to much more expensive pieces here). For 2018, Montblanc does it again, with a new Double-Hemisphere, sporty vision of the WorldTime complication, with the original and vintage-inspired 1858 Geosphere… And we have it live, here on MONOCHROME.
