Introducing – Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic WT – A New World-Time Limited Edition

At the SIHH 2018, Jaeger-LeCoultre re-introduced one of its most emblematic collections, the Polaris. Slightly vintage-inspired, superbly executed (the case is superb), utterly JLC in the style but with a sportier look, it has been quite a success. Already comprising multiple models, including a 3-hander, a time-and-date, a chronograph, a chronograph-world-time and, of course, an alarm version (the Memovox), today Jaeger-LeCoultre adds a world-time-only edition to the Collection, with the new Polaris Geographic WT – a limited edition, boutique exclusive.

First presented in gold (white or red), the Glashütte Original Senator Cosmopolite will be officially launched at Baselworld 2018 in a more affordable and less formal version in stainless steel and with Arabic numerals.

Pre-Baselworld 2018 – Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture Green Dial

For many of us these days, regular international travel seems to have become a common occurrence. Whether for pleasure, or more likely, for business, the challenges of managing multiple time-zone changes are very much a reality. Not only is it tough on your body and soul (anyone who is reading this from their hotel room at 3am will know what I mean), it can also be a pain making sure your watch is set to the right time. Sure, you can just rely on your smartphone (boring), or you can invest in a handsome, yet affordable worldtimer, such as the soon to be released Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture Green Dial.

Montblanc 1858 Geosphere – An Original and Sporty WorldTime Watch (SIHH 2018)

It isn’t the first time that Montblanc surprises us with an original (and of course rather accessible) complicated watch. Indeed, we can easily recall the Orbis Terrarum, which at EUR 5,500 was definitely impressive value for the money (we even compared it to much more expensive pieces here). For 2018, Montblanc does it again, with a new Double-Hemisphere, sporty vision of the WorldTime complication, with the original and vintage-inspired 1858 Geosphere… And we have it live, here on MONOCHROME.
