Clerc Hydroscaph GMT Power Reserve Chronometer Watch Review

Over the years, I have made no secret of the fact I am a big fan of GMT complications, even though I do not find myself traveling across time zones much these days (a good thing, in my book). I also have a tendency towards the sportier divers (as do many others), and am intrigued by unique cases and shapes. Wouldn’t you know, there was a watch introduced at Baselworld 2015 that actually touches on all of those differing points? When the opportunity came up to spend some time with the Clerc Hydroscaph GMT Power Reserve Chronometer, I leaped at it without a second thought.

MeisterSinger, I think it is safe to say, has a very singular approach to their watch designs. They have carved a niche out for themselves with their single-handed watches, offering tidy German designs with more than a dash of an “island time” mentality. That is not to say that the watches are not accurate, because they are, given the Swiss movements inside. No, instead, with the 15-minute increments being as close as you can reliably tell the time on a traditional single-hand watch, you are forced into a more relaxed view of what time it is. Or perhaps that’s just me, the “feeling forced” bit. I rather like know the exact time, which is why something like the MeisterSinger Salthora is a good fit.

Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer Watch Review

I’ve been wanting to review the Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer watch since it was debuted back in 2009. Part of the larger Senator watch collection, the Senator Chronometer has a beautiful symmetrical dial design and wonderful feature set that make for an attractive and technically superior timepiece.
