Hands-On: The Cartier Tank That Belonged To Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
There are Cartier Tanks, and there are Cartier TANKS. This is the latter.

Recently I had to the good fortune to travel with Ulysse Nardin to Bermuda, to get a taste of the Americas Cup and get to know the folks of the Artemis Racing Team – who are sponsored by the Le Locle-based watch brand. During that trip I borrowed the Ulysse Nardin Classic Dual Time Boutique Edition, and over the course of the days there, I found out what a great watch this is. Refined, yet bold, chic, yet rugged, and actually perfect for any occasion. Here’s our review of the Ulysse Nardin Classic Dual Time Boutique Edition, with new enamel dial and very cool strap.
Resonance watches promise better accuracy, but does this one deliver where it counts?
At the SIHH 2017, Cartier introduced a watch that I considered a hit (this remains of course very personal), the Drive de Cartier Extra Flat. Slim, refined, elegant, perfectly proportioned, featuring a nice engine… Well, in fact, this watch might be problematic for some. Obvious reason: its price, as only available in gold. Then, it might be too clean, too simple for some. In addition to the existing models (time-and-date and dual-time), Cartier introduced a Moon Phases version of the Drive, with quite some arguments to fell satisfied.
Over the years we’ve noticed that a love of finely wrought watches often results in a halo effect on the ecosystem of small objects and accessories in your daily life. You start noticing that the other components of your daily carry that have served you well for years – wallets, keychains and the like – are starting to look a little tatty. And of course there are as many options for these everyday essentials as there are watches (ie. countless), and finding the right pen/cufflink/business card holder can be a daunting task. When in doubt, it’s hard to go wrong with Montblanc. Sure, they’re best known as the name in writing instruments, and if you’re here you’re probably well aware of their fine watchmaking chops, but their catalogue is full of things to help remind you that the world isn’t just a digital place. We’ve picked out four items from their latest UNICEF collection that not only look the part, but also remind us that these days literacy isn’t just a digital concept. Meisterstück Selection UNICEF Passport Holder The classic heart of Montblanc is the Meisterstück collection – elegant, timeless and hard to fault. This UNICEF edition passport holder doesn’t…

Most eyes were on Rolexes, but someone was watching this parrot like a hawk.
A throw-back pilot’s watch brings some serious style to the table.
After colourful street artist collaborations coming from Richard Mille and TAG Heuer, now the independent high-end brand Manufacture Royale has added something colourful to the collection. The Manufacture Royale ADN Street Art Collection stands out with its unique architecture, like the rest of the ADN collection, and now adds a dose of colours, ‘dressing up’ its movement. A result of its graphic design process, and water printing, each one of these bold timepieces is unique.
Some heavy-hitting vintage watches from prominent makers of the 20th century.
For as long as I can remember, watch brands, and a few in particular, have been involved in Formula 1 motor sport. This is not surprising of course, in the fast-paced world of Formula 1, timing is everything. In recent times, one relationship has proven particularly fruitful: Red Bull Racing and Tag Heuer. Last month we were invited to visit the Red Bull Racing factory in Milton Keynes, UK to see first-hand how a Formula 1 team operates and learn just how important its timing partner can really be.
