Record-Breaking Patek Philippe 1518 Steals The Show, But Results Show A Mixed Bag At Phillips’ Geneva Watch Auction: Four

This was a big 48 hours for Phillips, and not just because of one lot. In total, the auction brought in 27,513,625 CHF. There was of course a HUGE result on day one of the sale – which alone represented more than 50% of the money received by the auctioneer that night and more than the total achieved by the 96 lots on the the second evening. We’ll get to that in a bit, but first, let’s look at some of the other big results of the weekend.
