Hands-on – March LA.B Mansart – A Different Kind of Vintage Design

March LA.B is a relatively young brand, based between France and California, which was created in 2008, with a clear focus on design and vintage inspirations… But not the usual 1960s tool-watch kind of vintage. Something different, something bolder, quite unique in the industry. And even though it’s the first time we cover one of […]

Hands-on – Breguet Classique 7787 Moonphase with Grand Feu Enamel Dial

I’d love to say that I’d be curious to see what a modernly designed Breguet would look like… But I can’t! I can’t, simply because Breguet carries so much history and legacy that it must not be bolder than it should, or experiment with avant-garde design… It can be (and actually is) innovative technically speaking, […]

Introducing – Longines Heritage Classic “Sector Dial”

There is no doubt that Longines knows its business when it comes to re-editing past models. This was true with the Avigation BigEye, the Type A-7 or the Heritage Military. Despite how good these watches were, there was always a small ‘but’ (a date, a large case…) but what you’re about to see is a […]

Introducing – Van Bricht Old Mind, a Handmade Tourbillon Watch from Belgium

Two young Belgian watchmakers got to know each other at the watchmaking school of Namur. After one of their long midnight conversations about watches, they decided to start their own brand (I’m sure you can picture the scene). By 8 o’clock in the morning, the first sketches were ready. Now that watch has become a […]

Value Proposition – Tissot Heritage Petite Seconde (Review)

Vintage-inspired watches are all the rage these days with military and dive watches usually grabbing the spotlight. Tissot has been around since the early 1850s and knows a thing or two about vintage watches. The brand’s Heritage collection is full of throwbacks, celebrating milestones in both engineering and design. For instance, the Visodate line looks […]

First Look – Seiko Presage Green Enamel Dial SPB111J1

When Seiko internationally launched its Presage sub-collection a couple of years ago, the goal was clear: offering a classic approach of watchmaking and a focus on traditional craftsmanships, still at a relatively accessible price. To do that, the brand introduced several classic, elegant and discreet pieces, with dials made of enamel or using ancient Urushi lacquer. A few years later, we’ve seen some very nice editions in white or blue enamel and today, Seiko brings a slightly different and no often seen colour. Meet the new Seiko Presage Green Enamel Dial SPB111J1.
