VIDEO – Talking Cars and Watches, the Track1 Chronograph And the Reimagined 911 with Rob Dickinson of Singer

A few hours ago, we introduced to you what we believe to be one of the coolest projects of the year, resulting in one impressively desirable chronograph, with hyper-innovative movement made by Agenhor and the talented Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, car- and vintage-inspired design by Marco Borraccino, all of that imagined at first by Rob Dickinson, the co-founder of Singer Vehicle Design. While our article was a focus on the watch and its technical aspects, it’s now time to go on the human side of the project. Here is our exclusive video, where we talk cars and watches, the Singer Track1 Chronograph and the Reimagined 911 with three great guys. Enjoy.

Auction Report – Moser & Christie’s Raise CHF 100,000 In Support Of Traditional Swiss Watchmaking (with their weird cheese-watch)

As reported to you here a few weeks ago, Moser, in association with auction house Christie’s, was about to donate two of its most provocative watches, however with a loyal goal hidden behind: preserving the traditions of the Swiss Watchmaking industry and making sure that this expertise, unique in the world, will survive – and as you know, Moser is a fervent defender of the Swiss production, but not of the Swiss Made label. Yesterday, the final amount realised as the hammer fell was rather impressive.

Business News – Franck Muller Went Bankrupt… For 8 Days Only (and for a stupid reason)

As you might know, I’m French and thus, I frequently read Le Temps, a prominent Swiss newspaper – especially known for its respected section dedicated to the watchmaking industry. And what a surprise I found here. Indeed, Franck Muller, one of the main manufactures of Geneva, went bankrupt. We all know that the state of the industry is not the best ever, but still, this sounded like a blast… until I read the entire story!

Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier – A Look Behind-The-Scenes Of The Watch Industry

Over the last few years, we have reviewed quite a few brands and their manufactures. From the largest ones, for instance those owned by groups like Swatch Group, Richemont or LVMH, to the smallest ateliers of independent watchmakers. Recently, we had the opportunity to visit another type of manufacture, one that is not part of a brand but rather a supplier. The name is probably familiar to you already as they are one of the most prominent high-grade movement makers for third-parties; Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier.
