For the SIHH 2019, Montblanc introduces a completely revamped “Heritage” collection – indeed, this collection isn’t entirely new, as already comprising models such as the Heritage Spirit Pulsograph or the Heritage Perpetual Calendar. The latter was a talking piece at the SIHH 2014, for being at that time the most affordable QP on the market. Having a redesigned collection is a thing, but Montblanc decided to give this watch something extra: the brand’s first manufacture perpetual calendar movement. In recent years Montblanc has made a concerted effort to remind watch lovers everywhere of its rich history with Minerva, the Villeret-based brand that it owns and that is known for the incredibly beautiful chronograph movements. Now, Montblanc further underscores that commitment to integrating Minerva’s finest handcraftsmanship with its state-of-the-art watchmaking to create new Heritage pieces inspired by the 1940s and 1950s – not the least of which is the new Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph. Two years ago at the SIHH 2017, Montblanc completely redesigned its TimeWalker collection, presenting its version of what a sports watch should look like. This represented the fulfilment of a key objective for Davide Cerrato, Managing Director of the Watch Division. In 2019, the brand looks to build on this success with the introduction of two additional models to the collection.
