Introducing – Parmigiani Fleurier Hijri Perpetual Calendar

Parmigiani Fleurier presents the world’s first Hijri Perpetual Calendar in a wristwatch format. The Hijri Perpetual Calendar – or Islamic Calendar – wristwatch relies on technology developed by Michel Parmigiani for a table clock in 2011, which was, in turn, inspired by the restoration of a pocket watch with an Arabic calendar in 1993. Crafted […]

Hands-on – Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpagraphe Noir

Parmigiani Fleurier is traditionally quite conservative when it comes to the materials of its designs and its watch cases. The brand usually sticks to platinum, gold or steel to craft its watches. Yet, earlier this year, the brand introduced its Kalpagraphe in a matte titanium version, offering a sleek monochromatic look. This chronograph watch is now presented in a black ADLC-steel limited edition, the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpagraphe Noir. This new version is launched together with the Kalpagraphe Blanc, a pink gold feminine model with a subtle white sapphire dial.

Introducing – The Redesigned Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 1950, Now with Three New and Enhanced Dials

The Tonda is the largest of all Parmigiani’s watch collections and caters to both men and women. Meaning ‘round’ in Italian, the Tonda 1950 family of automatic watches represent Parmigiani’s take on the ultra-thin, elegant dress watch genre. The date 1950 is a reference to master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani’s year of birth. Three new models in sumptuous 39mm rose gold cases and dashingly handsome dials in contemporary colours  – slate, blue and grained white – join the Tonda 1950 collection.

Introducing – Parmigiani Fleurier Tecnica Ombre Noir – A Triumvirate of Complications for one Lucky Collector

Three of the most revered complications in Haute Horlogerie – minute repeater, tourbillon and perpetual calendar – are united in this exceptional timepiece, a unique Parmigiani Fleurier piece that retails for just under half a million Swiss Francs.  The Tecnica Ombre Noire comes in a 45mm rose gold case with a splendid hand-guilloché dial. The combination of the gleaming rose gold case and the dark handsome dial is stunning, but the watch is not entirely new. In 2014, Parmigiani Fleurier launched a limited edition of five Tecnica Ombre Blanche watches – without the sumptuous guilloché dial.  The perpetual calendar functions are neatly arranged in three interconnected sub-dials with a fourth dial devoted to the one-minute tourbillon. But wait a minute, where is the slider to activate the minute repeater? Read on to find out more about this exceptional masterpiece.

Hands-on – Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Metrographe Rose Gold and Blue Dial

When Parmigiani Fleurier launched the Tonda Metrographe (this version) in 2014, it wasn’t love at first sight. Although there was a lot to like about this new Parmigiani Chronograph – its distinctive yet elegant case design and the traditional overall quality of Parmigiani – somehow I felt it was not a watch I’d like to […]

Pre-SIHH 2019 – Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Chronomètre with New Slate-Grey Guilloché Dial (Hands-On)

Master watchmaker and restorer Michel Parmigiani unveiled his first watch in 1996, the Toric. Distinguished by its knurled bezel and harmonious proportions, the Toric was reinterpreted in a more contemporary key in 2017 with the Toric Chronomètre, and again in November 2018 with a tasteful hand-guilloché dial. The impeccable elegance of this dress watch is given yet another wardrobe update with this Pre-SIHH 2019 Toric Chronomètre model with a slate-grey guilloché dial. Apart from the different colour on the dial, the 2019 model is not covered by the Qualité Fleurier seal but another certification.

Pre-SIHH 2019 – Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Capitole in Rose Gold / Brown Dial

Since the SIHH 2017, Parmigiani has relaunched the Toric collection, bringing it back not only in hyper-complex editions but also in more simple versions, like the Toric Qualité Fleurier and the Toric Chronomètre – two watches with time-and-date displays, which were re-editions of Michel Parmigiani’s first watch. However, PF doesn’t forget its high-end collection and as part of the pre-SIHH 2019 novelties, the brand introduces a new version of the superb and original Toric Capitole, now in Rose Gold / Brown Dial – with a combination of chiming complication and wandering hours.
